 For a cozy home this winter, nothing quite has the advantages of a wood stove, fireplace or insert. The fuel is economical and ecological, the look is attractive, and the heat is warm. That may seem impossible, but wood heat really does make for a comfortable home during the winter.

With the hike in oil prices, propane gas is now one of the most expensive of fuels, and electricity has always been one of the most expensive ways to heat your home. You can cut the cost of wood heating by doing a lot of the work yourself. You can purchase un-split logs or even un cut logs.
Wood fuel more than likely comes from a local source, helping your local economy. Other fuel types can be corporate controled.
Wood fuel for home heating can be burned in a free stading stoves, fireplaces, fireplace inserts or furnaces. You can also cook with wood fuel with a wood burning cook stove.
